Hey Bill, Kyle and Will are looking for their AOY stuff from last year. Do you have access to that, or should they take it up with headquarters? Hope you have a great turnout and good luck this season. Rick G.

Re: WON Bass Inland Empire
Rick,
Maybe Kyle and Will should have made the trip to New Melones like the rest of the guys that received their plaques and certificates. Looks like we need to re look at how these items are earned and awarded, as it is, a true AOY would want to prove their prowess against the best. Maybe we should hold out on awarding these prizes, to those that attend the TOC, and compete for them. I know I know... Schedule conflicts. Well there wont be any excuses this coming year. None the less.. Bill P. will have their certs on site this weekend. Good luck to all that attend the WON BASS Inland Empire Region. I will be hopefully putting the hurt on some swim bait pigs at DVL on Thursday.

Re: WON Bass Inland Empire
Kyle,
By no means was my post a personal attack on you or anyone else, whom did not attend. I know the reason why most did not, and that was based on scheduling conflicts with other orgs. It was merely a statement, that maybe things need to be worked on, so as to improve participation throughout the entire season, including the TOC. I just get tired of the same style post's on this site, when in fact we have phone numbers or e-mails for these type of issues. Everyone who earned AOY status during the 2010 season in any region, has or will be receiving their plaques and certificates, either by mail or at the opening regional event.
Good luck Kyle, I am sure you will do well.

Re: WON Bass Inland Empire
Yeah... it was a pretty inflammatory post... basically "Hey Bill, will you have the aoy stuff or should we get hold of HQ and have them ship it"?
Once again Billy, your post was out of line, and once again, you come back with "oh, um, that's not what I meant".
Just gets old.... We're not stupid.

Re: WON Bass Inland Empire
Trust me Billy, Kyle wants to fish EVERYTHING and he and Will would have gone up there if there were no conflicts. Also I am sure they are very looking forward to the upcoming Won Bass Inland Empire 2010-2011 season. Sorry, I should have called your right. Rick G.

Discretion is the better part of valor Bill, and to defend your Organization is admirable. But to light up a team for not going to a fishoff that was a logistical and scheduling nightmare is irresponsible and borderline bologna. WON's decision to put the event at Melones and on top of a competing fish off at Havasu FORCED teams to make a decision.
What's next? ...teams that cash checks at regular season events will need to drive to the WON Bass headquarters in San Clemente to pick up their checks?

Re: WON Bass Inland Empire
The Grovers and WON are pretty much like family. Kyle will be a DVL this weekend and there isn't even a small problem.
We hope you can all make it too. The fishing is great and Bill Ponting handled that WONBASS region up until just last year and always had a big following. He's back and he's putting up the food and having that always popular " stripper option", so it should be fun.
So go fish wonbass dvl, san diego or shasta teams this weekend and go to the Bassathon in a couple weeks. We are doing the supplement for Rick again this year and every inch of booth space is sold out and the show is going to be incredible for anyone who loves bass fishing. Don't miss it and get out there and fish one of our events this weekend too.

Re: WON Bass Inland Empire
Excutive "WANTABEE" chef Brian just called and let me know he could do catered events for breakfast burritos, IS THE PRESSURE ON? Also I have had alot of calls about the stripper option, It will be fun. If anybody would like a couple of strippers after the tournament we will be giving them away. "FREE".

Kevin
I was just having a little fun with our returning TD Bill Ponting, who did make this spelling error last week and caught some grief over it on the message board. And he was just returning the favor and expanding on it. I assumed most everyone would get it, but you know what they say about the word assume...
I hope you can come out to our event. I don't think Bill will have real strippers to take home as he suggested, but we do have a striper option in this tournament. It should be a great weekend of fishing and start to the IE teams region. This year there will be some exciting changes and we hope you come out and fish WON BASS this weekend at DVL, San Diego or Shasta. For more information just go to the WONBASS.com website.

As long as it's not Ponting doing the stripping you should be okay!
