There is no clamp available for the CTE400 that I am aware of.

I know there is one for the 400B and it should fit on the 400TE. I will call Dan Issac. It is made by shimano. There is a piece that fits on the frame under the spool that the clamp screws into. Thanks

Bantam1 is the expert there! I haven't seen one either? Who do you think I call when I'm stumped? YEP B1!

The clamp from the CT400 will not work on the CTE400. The frame is very different and the base will not fit. The openings next to the foot are also a different size. We had a prototype made many years ago. The clamp screws had to go in at an angle which led to other problems fitting some rods because of the diameter of the blank or wrap used.

There may be some universal aftermarket clamps out there that can be modified to work. I personally have not tried to make one work. I just use them on rods with a reel seat. I have never had a problem in fresh or saltwater with the reel seat coming loose during a fight.
