Steven, usually the Plano 3700 series are the way to go for cranks and rip baits. As you eluded to, the Falcon's don't allow you to get as many baits into a box compared to a like size Plano, but they are more organized.

I use the 3700 boxes. Take very small zip ties and secure the hooks together on each bait. That way when you grab them they are not a tangled mess. You can store more of them too because it make the baits a little more compact. You would be amazed how many baits you end up never using and the zip tie doesn't ever get removed. I went through a pretty good purge of crankbaits last year and they ended up at swap meets. I buy "body of water specific baits" too often. The zip tie trick has really helped me narrow down what I like and don't need.

I use the BPS XPS® Double Sided Tangle-Free Crankbait Organizer. They come in two sizes. The bigger one would work for the bigger baits like the DD15 or DD22. The ripbaits and smaller cranks would be fine with the smaller one. This normally sells for $10-12. But looks like it's on sale now for $7 ... double sided for double the fun! :)

I use the Falcon boxes but I seperate them into boxes by lake. It does mean buying extra baits but I hate digging through a mess of hooks.

I use the Falcon boxes also. I use the smaller ones and divide them by depth. Takes more boxes but packs easier when fishing in someone's boat and not my own.

Here are the ones I use - the large one holds 20 DD-22's that never touch each other. Check out the flipsider series.

The Falcon boxes are the way to go, no more untagling a GLOB of crank baits. I still use the Plano for my DD cranks and extras but the falcon is my go to box.
