A message from the California Bass Federation

Post by sTony »

Existing members and new members of the California Bass Federation:

We are happy to announce our new partnership with THE Bass FEDERATION, INC. and sponsorship by FLW Outdoors and BassFan. The benefits offered in this partnership are exceptional.

The California Bass Federation will keep its name for now. The tournaments will continue as planned and scheduled. http://www.californiabass.org/tournamen ... dule06.htm

The California Bass Federation is a non profit organization affiliated with The Bass Federation Inc. (TBF Inc.) a national organization in which all State Chapter Federations belong.

Controversy has encompassed all State Federations over the past few months; however, we have survived as a group at a national level. As of January 24, 2006 your California Bass Federation Board Members have voted to accept the FLW Outdoors/Bass Fan Offer. (Bass Fan is now the official website for TBF Inc.) The Bass Federation Inc.

FLW Outdoors has released full details of its new 5-year, $15 million alliance with The Bass Federation Inc. (TBF Inc.). The agreement was struck last week with Federation presidents who met in Celebration, Fla. and ended the Federation's 35-year partnership with BASS.
The vote was 30-4 in favor of the proposal, with 14 abstentions by presidents who did not have the authority to cast a vote at the meetings. Robert Cartlidge, TBF Inc. president has said he expects most of those 14 to join the majority after further consultation with their members.
“After our meeting with everyone from FLW Outdoors, it was clear what we needed to do,â€

This is all well and good TonyS but you need to remove any and all references to B.A.S.S., the organization since BassFan/FLW is the parent organization. The California Bass Federation site still has B.A.S.S. all over it. Since TBF is also a separate entity does it have a distinctive logo?

With the exception of your post here there are no references to B.A.S.S. in my post.

We are still very much called the Califorina Bass Federation. Notice only one capital and no periods in between, hahaha. The new website is being built from scratch and there is a TBF logo. The state officials are paid in full and good standing with B.A.S.S. for the time being so there is no harm being done. We'll be working on a new logo for California soon. Rome wasn't built in a day, even if by Brian Day, federation webmaster. Hahaha.

I think that was a back-handed compliment of some sort.

Yes, we're very aware that the "old" site has B.A.S.S. sprinkled throughout. It's not a matter of search n replace to remove BASS references. If I did the site would look like swish cheese and be awkward to use. Therefore it was decided to take this new opportunity to make it a truly 1st class site.

Plans are in place to transform the CA Bass Federation Web site into a dynamic and informative medium. I am very excited about this major redesign. Until the official rollout the existing site will be maintained and revised as necessary.

Trust me... you will love the new site when it’s done.

As for a back-handed compliment Brian D. it wasn't....Have you contacted BigFishingTools to help with the site? Take a look at how well Aaron Martens BigFishingTools website came out...it's awesome

They were just reminders.....

Sensei,
What about an "all picture" website for us reading challenged folks? Like the photo in your avatar.
