FYI for those traveling to Roosevelt for Everstart

Post by bazs »

Hi all,
Today a friend pointed out to me a closure at roosevelt from Nov 15th threw Feb 15th, so it affects practice but not the tournament.
See link http://azfishingguy.blogspot.com/2010/1 ... areas.html
Would hate to see anyone get an unnecessary ticket or have isues with some off limits infraction.

This closure, as well as other closures on Roosevelt Lake are clearly marked with dated buoys about every 25 yards. We have asked AZGFD to remove the geese enclosure buoys the evening of Feb. 15th to avoid any confusion. During the pre-tournament meeting, a representative from AZGFD and/or the GCSO LP will inform all anglers of the current status of the geese and eagle enclosures as well as the marina off limits area. The part on the link about GCSO LP sitting up on a hill and calling in reinforcements was hilarious!
PM me if you need any further info on this.
