Derby game

Post by runbeza »

How big a derby game is this in British football? I'm a Swansea City fan and I have just been to the South Wales Derby today between Swansea and Cardiff. It finished 2-2. I know I am biased but I really do think that this is one of the most intense and firece derbies in the country despite playing most of them in the lower leagues.

Runbeza, are you using the term "derby" in the British manner; that is, describing a game between two teams located in close geographic proximity to each other? For example, Arsenal vs Chelsea or Man U vs Man City?
That being asked, I doubt you'll get many responses concerning British football on this website; doubt that most of us would think of the same sport when we see the word "football."
I do enjoy watching some Premier League and other European matches occasionally but we don't get to see many lower division matches here in the States.
