Billy Egan and I were on Shake, Rattle and Troll with Don McDowell yesterday. We recorded a show for 1260AM to be played Saturday morning. During the interview, Billy made the comment that although today (Friday) is the official last day to register, if someone needs more time, he’ll waive the late fee penalty. All this takes is a phone call to WON today, give them your name and when you pay in full at the final registration meeting on Feb. 11, the late fee will be waived. The WON staff has put a lot of work into ensuring anglers and fans have a great time. Billy drove to Payson last weekend to do a “walk through” and make some final arrangements. Special thanks to Matt Shura, who has coordinated sponsor displays you’ll see at the registration meeting and at the Cholla Site. Matt donated his time, equipment and money to support this effort. The seven day forecast calls for clear skies and warming to the mid 60’s. The water temperature on Roosevelt Lake is mid 50’s heating up to high 50’s in the afternoon and we’ll be one week away from a full moon. We’re knocking on wood, but maybe mother nature will cooperate this time. At least no wind storms or massive mud slides! Hope to see you all at the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino one week from today!
