He is such a dominant force in a sport that is arguably difficult to be dominant. Kudos to a consumate professional, and an angler that truly lends class and dignity to the sport.

KVD is human alright as his instincts are truly on for seasonal pattterns, I read many years ago he recalled all the BASS articles on fish catcing and seasonal patterns from way back in other words he has used the knowledge from the past and current to be successful and he adapts like no other, always puts himself in the best area of the lake for current conditions
the best way to catch a big one is don't lose um sharp hooks set drag retie!

I don't know what else to say about this guy. Truley amazing. Congrats to spin on the 2nd place finish as well. He has to have more BASS 2nd place finishes than anyone.

BEAST!
Yup. You dont have to like how he fishes, but damn is KVD the best. THE force to beat out there, and hes so consistent, so efficient, its crazy. Congrats to him, thats a truly dominating performance during a Classic.

Martens will get his chance again. He is pretty much always in the money. 149 total BASS tournaments fished, and 110 in the money. He will be a guy to reckon with for many years to come. Remitz did amazingly well too. Something like 3 years in BASS after Amistad, and he takes 3rd in the Classic. Kudos to that!

He may have won the classic but i believe the sponsor's he has, put pressure on BASS to let him make up that many points in the post season to claim the AOL. That was robbery to Skeet who Dominated the whole season. What a shame.
As long as theres water, I can catch a bass

The points format was set before the season started not after the classic. But it should be changed.

I think skeet had the better year but I think by winning the Classics to start and end the season KVD proved he deserved the AOY title

KVD was known for his jig fishing waaay before his crankbait skills. The man can fish period! I don't think a deep clear lake would stump him..
Ohh son!! That's a 4, 5 ,7 8, 12 punder son!!

but in your quest for a little glory today you forgot to mention his 59th last year at Clearlake, his 29th at the Delta last year and his 87th in 03 also. He isnt god but he is that good! Give Aaron the 25 years he has and aaron would wash him under the bus like he does the rest!

Whatever Paul... I was merely pointing out that he had made the cut out west, contrary to your statement. If I wanted to be petty like you in your last comment, I could have inserted "poorly researched" or "hater" into the above, but I chose not to.

Really not sure why you feel the need to make things personal...

Aaron is good but I would think skeet is probaly the number 1 western angler as far as the elites are concerned right now. As far as KVD, if he spent anytime out here it would not take him long to figure it out as he seems to adjust to conditions better than most. The bottom line is all those guy's are good at what they do.
