I recently bought a new boat (Triton 17' Explorer) and am now looking for a used boat that closer meets my needs.
What's the best way to ensure that I'm getting a good deal for the boat. I want to make sure the motor isn't going to die after a few trips to the lake once I buy it.
Thanks

No problems, I just learned more of what I wanted in a bass fishing boat. Obviously I learned this the hard way.
Re: Buying A Used Boat
Always take the used boat you are thinking about buying to a reputable, preferably certified mechanic for the big motor brand, and have it thoroughly checked out. Should only cost $100 or so for the check out, and it you are spending several thousand on the boat it is money well spent.rhurley31 wrote:I recently bought a new boat (Triton 17' Explorer) and am now looking for a used boat that closer meets my needs.

There are several good articles on this site that talk about used boat buying.
