To Powerpole or not to Powerpole
To Powerpole or not to Powerpole
What do you guys think about a Powerpole for the Delta? I think I'll use it a lot but you don't really know unless you have one.....
For those who have 'em or who backseat in boats with them, what 'cha think?

Re: To Powerpole or not to Powerpole
I use my Power Pole on every body of water at some point in my day. Most of my fishing is on the Delta and I couldn't imagine not having it, there not just for bed fishing.

I am in the same position. I fish the Delta mainly. I have seen them be convenient for so many things including not having to tie up at docks. I would think it would be convenient for working a small area very thoroughly without making any noise.
I would rather jog home from my own Vasectomy than spend Saturday at the mall.

I have two .They are great in all bodys of water . The delta is a prime place, with the current two keeps you from spinning and you can also just put them down a little to drag the grass and slow ya down in big wind or current.
Re: To Powerpole or not to Powerpole
I agree with all the posts submitted, my power pole is by far the best piece of equiptment I have purchased for my boat!!! Do it, you will thank yourself every time you are on the water, but especially on the Delta.
I have caught so many more fish that I can attribute to the Power pole for 2 main reasons; you can hold in a specific spot in the current without blowing trolling motor backwash into the spot you are fishing and you can put the pole down to hold you in the current/wind and concentrate on fishing instead of the trolling motor to hold you in the spot.

But if you buy 1 you will get a 2'ent.
So when you order your first 1 buy both brackits. It will save you $ in the long run as you wont buy the spacer and you wont have to lift off youe eng 2 times

Re: To Powerpole or not to Powerpole
Here's a follow up question for all you PP owners out there.
Their advantages for the Delta seem spot on and i would have one, except this:
"How do you get a boat in the garage with a power pole sticking up?" my motor cowling barely clears the door and will only do it if i lower the motor 90% down (i know 'cause i already forgot and jacked the dang thing into the house - doh!). All the pics i have seen of power poles show them sticking way above the motor cowling, so there's no way its going in my garage.
How do you get around this issue?
Thanks,
Kopper

Re: To Powerpole or not to Powerpole
Both are great products Talon and Power Pole...In my opinion I would get two if you can. Just put a power pole on my boat and used it for bed fishing. Two would be awsome. I'm sure everyone would agree that has them.
