Hi Ken,
Can I use a PC-30 power cable (came with an HDS-8) to power an LCX-38 unit? I understand the LCX units normally use a PC-27BL power cable. It seems that the only difference is the extra conductors on the PC-27BL used for powering the NMEA2000 circuit. I already have a NMEA2000 backbone running on my boat. I’m concerned that if I use a PC-30 power cable, I may be internally powering the NMEA2000 circuit from the other end.
Thanks,
Al

Yes, you can use the new power cord with the LCX unit. The missing third cable for powering the NMEA network is not necessary to run the LCX unit.
