We've lost another great one, Ed Cusick.

Post by mrobinett »

This morning, I called Ed to chit chat and was informed that he passed away last night. This is such a great loss to everyone who knew him. Ed Snell, president of Tri City Bassmasters bass club, sent this letter out to all the club members:

"I am extremely sorry to inform you that ED Cusick passed away last night at 9:00 p.m.. As was announced at last week's meeting, Ed was hospitalized last Monday suffering from a heart condition. During a routine operation to install a defibrillator, Ed had a heart attack. He regained consciousness but never recovered. When I spoke to Ed last Wednesday he was very upbeat and spoke of fishing the Silverwood tournament.

Ed was not just a good guy, he was a great guy who couldn't say a bad thing about anybody. I think he was the only person that I have ever known who had no enemies. I will always miss him.

Funeral arrangements are pending and I will let everyone know as soon as I know. His family asked that I let everyone know that Ed loved the club and all of its members. Next to his family, it was the most important thing in his life.

We all loved Ed. He will be missed. There is now a big hole in our club."

Ed Cusick was a member of the club for over 20 years. He will be sorely missed by everyone he knew. Mike Robinett

While I must say, I have never met Ed, I take comfort that he was actively participating in the sport he loved right to the end. My condolences to the Cusick family and all who knew him.

Godspeed Ed.
