Do I have a problem with my Trolling Motor

Post by StogieMan »

yesterday I was doing some general maintanence in the driveway, checking to see if things were tight, when I got to the troller the actual motor itself grabbed my screwdriver, meaning its a strong magnet!
I dont ever remember that happening before ??

There are two big magnets in the head but I don't believe it should be that magnetic on the outside. Try a different screwdriver or place something else that's metal next to it and if it grabs and holds it then there probably is something wrong. My trolling motor won't grab and hold a piece of metal.
