Great experience FLW College Event

What a great experience helping with the FLW College event out of Webber Park. From the selection of pairings, giving out the items that each boat carried with them, to the Students that were more than excited to be competing. I was paired with a team from Fresno State and they were considerate with the boat and showed so much excitement with each catch. After the event we went out and fished for several more hours. Or at least tried to fish in the wind. My only regret was that I lost my really nice hat that they gave each boater.

I have tournament fished a good many events and volunteer in several others and would have to say this was the best experience for me personally to date. Thats not to knock any other organization or event, I am just really glad I got a chance to do this event.

Kevin Hunt does A GREAT JOB at running his events. I helped at the Folsom event last year and had A great time. found out to late that they needed more boats or I would have been there with the Kitty Cat. If you have never helped with the college FLW events you should!!!! GREAT TEAMS!!!!!!!

Hey Lloyd, thanks fer comming out! I wanna give a big thanks to Vince Borges and Greg Trouton who also saw my post Friday and showed up ta help out. These are really cool events, it's kinda like a larger scale of our C.O.Pro-Teen. I've actually had the oppurtunity to work with a lot of the Students involved with this program from the various schools. Some thru e-mails and phone conversations, as well as others that git in the boat with me. Their love for the sport and willingness to learn the ins and outs of bass fishing is just too cool!

And HUGE congrats to Kong Moua & Chris Delgado of Fresno State for their exciting victory!

Ive been fishing these events since the get go of it all and let me tell you this sport would not be where it is at today if not for all the volunteer boaters. All volunteers truly do this for the love of the sport.

For everyone that was there yesterday for the great event and everyone that has been there in the past, Thank You.

Was out there driving around the Sacramento State Team who ended up in 4th Place. To watch those guys go down the bank punching and flipping was a pleasure as these guys had very good casting skills and put fish in the boat in the short period of time they had to fish.

My first event with FLW and was truly a good time. Look forward to supporting them the next time they come out here.

Hey Kong, Congratulations once again to you & Chris! It was a great pleasure and a bunch of fun horsin round and watchin you two all day out there. I was most impressed with the fact that although you guys were not catching many fish, 7 keepers in total, you had the mettle and chose to ride that place out and be patient waiting on the quality bites! It would have been all too easy to run and gun, follow the dock talk and chase fish other buddies told ya about, as many do here when the bites are so far and few inbetween and time is short! I have preached here for many years, never run from a group of big fish once ya locate them, follow em with the tides, be patient and learn to move with the fish as they move with the tides!

I now understand the excitement and chaos, I saw the same thing in that video of yer 10 pounder a few years ago here. I may be wrong, but I still stand by what I said, it was a lucky cast! HAR! It is also said, put yerself in the position to be lucky, and being lucky, is all part of being successful! I can't wait ta see the FLW video of you guys, as I was able to git every single fish of that winning bag on Camera!

Thanks to Kevin Hunt for helping me out early in the morning to get my boat out for the college tourny or else it'll be one less team to fish, especially a thanks for the 7th place team i took out Humboldt State Jen and Derrick I had a lot of fun with you guys and you guys are always welcome on the boat!!
