Steve Lowe is a very passionate fisherman who is at times somewhat over exuberant at the Derbies, but always entertaining. He had been battling Cancer the last few years and it was amazing to see him get through that torture and not just survive but thrive. He won the battle and is now in remission.
Unfortunately as Paul mentioned, his loving wife and occasional fishing partner, Janice, became ill with the same affliction and after a short battle has lost her life.
She was one of the smartest and down to earth ladies I have ever met, not to mention her having the ability to put Steve in the money occasionally on the water and off.
Janice and her quick wit will be sorely missed.
My families and my most heart felt condolences and prayers go out to Steve and his family.

I have had the pleasure of fishing with Steve a few times on the delta over the past years and can say he is one of the funnest guys I have ever had the pleasure to spend a day in the boat with. When he pulled through the cancer I was in disbelief and thought maybe he will now get back to normal and enjoy life again but after hearing this I am very saddened and hope he can persevere through this situation as well. If you read this Steve this is Robert from the Hook and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My # is still the same and if you ever need a fishing partner or want to chat do not hesitate to call me buddy.
