First time in five years I had my birthday off, so I'm go'n fishing. I've been wanting to hit Highland Springs Reservoir so that's where I head. I get there at 6:00am and have the lake all to myself, but of course Thursday presents me with another post weather front day of fishing. Nothing new, but maybe the fishing gods will cut me a break.
I flip, pitch and crank with no love. I manage one blow up on a frog and get one dink senko fish. At Eleven-Thirty, I decide to go to plan "B". I pack up and run over to Clear Lake for a couple hours to throw Kermit at the C.L. largemouth. Glad I did!
