Curado B repair

Post by NoCAL »

Recently sent in a 200B for repair. It was squealing terrible and not casting very far. I broke it down, cleaned it, and it still wasn't where I wanted it. Checked the Shimano website and it does say repair for Curado 200B is $25 plus parts. They had it for about one month. Got it back on Friday with a note saying they don't repair this model reel anymore and that parts are no longer available. I sent it to the main repair facility instead of a satellite facility just because the website specifically states that they do service this model. So what is the bottom line? Is there any way to get this reel looked at and repaired?

yep, I'd be happy to correct the issue for you. 2 day turnaround on that.
It's a common problem, and straight forward fix.

$26 and that will include parts if needed and return shipping.

Thanks Dan, I've sent reels to you before for cleaning and such. I'll give it a try this weekend and better note the symptoms then send it off to you.

Send me a PM with your name and address. I want to look up the account and see what happened. We still service the CU200B.
