John Great Job as TD for your first derby 10 paid boats and look at your payback. Hope we can get some more guys for the next one.

I had fun fishing with the boss until we got broke down by team Brian and Brian. We fished a spot for small keepers only to pull off and watch BJ roll in and stick big fish of the derby. I even called it. "I said watch he will catch that big one we saw in the tree" 5 minutes on the spot and Bam. "Told you" Dude is a stick.

Good job to everyone else that caught them. See you next month. Hope to qualify for Tri States and fish for a BOAT. Art

I would have donated, but my boat has been in "bad water" too recently to get through the gate.

Well if it makes you feel any better George, yesterday when we were waiting to launch I saw a enraged middle eastern guy with a 22' Sear Ray Cruiser in a heated arguement with the lake staff over the inspection process and some water that had come out of his lower unit in his I/O. When we were in the water getting ready for blast off, he was launching so he must have won! Then when putting the boat on the trailer at 6pm here cruises by 2 guys in a 96 Ranger with a 200efi as the engine. Not even compliant. You should just go for it as long as your clean and dry. Huge payback in that event and fun times for sure. Rick G.

Hmm..should i make the trip with myh 99' efi and hope for the best? This is not the first time I have heard of a non compliant motor gaining access.

+1 on the payout. I thought this event would attract more boats...

DL, I am sure someone got a butt chewin after that guy was busted yesterday, so you might want to give it a week....lol The facts about DVL and the tournament turnouts this year just seem to be that there are just too many events a weekend/month and not enough money to go around to get a decent turnout for any of them. Yes, there is always going to be the regulars who will show, but the economy has just made those who can pick a trail for the year, stick with 1 trail. Hopefully next year the DFG will make it just 1 event a weekend, year round and that will help some. Gotta love the 100% payback days though. Hopefully the WON guys will promote this trail more. Great job on running a smooth derby john and willie, shane, art. we had a great time. fishing was wide open what a great fishery dvl is. hopefully more people will notice the payouts and start showing up. 11 boats and winner takes $1850. imagine if there was 50 paid entries.
