Heading up for a couple days was wondering how the fish are doing? Anyone know?

I'm headed up Sunday. I know it's full and water is still cool -+ 70'. Has anyone been up there recently? Looking for any clues.

Was up Mermorial Day weekend. The bite was on and off, but generally not very good. The fish had not moved to the beds in the areas I hit and the water temp was 62-63 degrees. With the more stable weather this weekend it could turn on though. The fish have to be itching to hit the bank. The lake is pretty much full, but they started dropping it this week. I guess they are concerned that the snow run off will flood.

I was there memorial day week end also. Weather was crap, and the fishing was pretty slow. I spent 90% of my time throwing swimbaits. got a few. nothing much over 2 though.
my 12 year old son got about 10 a day pitching senkos and dropshoting. Lots of fish as far back as you can get in the bigger creaks. just about any time I'd pick up a 1/2 oz. football head I'd catch a fish. had a decent topwater bite each night right at last light, no size though. good luck.

Shastas going off lots of fish in 0-25ft. Alot of little fish with some 2pounders here and there. 20 fish a day should be no problem.

Good to hear! Its Shasta after all so you can always get a few. Will post a report when we get back.
