War on Drugs

Post by Vince E »

The border violence is horrible. The incentive for criminals to become ever bolder is even worse. The expense to the taxpayer is outright criminal, far outweighing the effect of the crimes of people making bad choices and using drugs.

But the absolute worst part of this failure to deliver as promised is shown in stories like this and what it means for the real police state here in America:

LOL. Hilarious. None of this happened when Bush was President huh? In spite of the fact he opened the borders. You didn't even read the article did you. You haven't a clue what Vince's post was about. I know a shitload of Republicans who scream about the border situation, and have knowingly hired illegals. Democrats want them for the votes and Republicans want them for the labor. It's another need political football like abortion that both parties kick back and forth to get elected.

Legalize Marijuana.

No, stop claiming a right they do not have over people's bodies and what they choose to put in them. Punish crimes that actually HAVE harmed others, not what MIGHT lead to harming others. This includes EVERYTHING that falls under that description.

And then watch the horrors this stupid crusade of enforced morality has caused begin to ebb....not being replaced by 50% of the population going "crazy on drugs" and raping and stealing. Truth be known the stealing is due to a comination of high prices brought by prohibition and ostricization in ways like drug tests. Addicts couldn't afford it even if they could find a job. Let the guy who washes my car or mows my lawn be high, what do I care as long as does no harm. You would be surprised to know how many doctors are high while treating you and even doing surgery. Mine made the front page up here last month! LOL. I couldn't tell and I've been around.

I'm tired of the police state. I want it to go away, not get worse. But it's getting worse. And the story I posted and hundreds more like it goes to prove that "If your not doing anything wrong you don't have to worry" is bullsh!t.

My son is an addict and I am now for legalizing the entire mess. More kids can buy any drug they want than any time in history so addicts will be addicts. As for the border Bush at least built some of the fence. He did pander to hispanics but don't blame all republicans. Arizona won the first contest in the SC to enforce employer sanctions and if we win the 1070 battle you can bet California will be getting a few hundred thousand more illegals next year. Enjoy.

I'm truly sorry to hear that about your son, Ringer, It must be a nightmare for you and his loved ones. I hope he will be able to conquer it. I've seen many walk away from it and I hope he can find the determination to do the same. I'm sure you love him just the same. Good luck to him. I'm glad that Arizona won that round, It's a good law.

Greg-he is 43 and has been sober for the last five years so the fact that he is alive is due to good luck and the prison system. It was a horrible 23 years and I am shocked he lived through it. I even considered killing him off a couple of times. Junkies are not humans when they are using and yes I love him dearly but still thought about nuking him a few times. Fact is he would have been a junkie whether drugs were legal or illegal.

I'm really glad he's sober. Great news. Yes I've none a few in my time and am currently dealing with an alcohol junkie at the moment.
