Does anyone know how to best keep braid from wrapping around your rod tip?
If it's happening often, is that a sign that I should re-spool?
Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions on how to minimize this freaking annoyance!

It'll happen occasionally. Is it happening when your throwing topwater if so keep more tension in your line.

Different style(s) of the tip-top makes a difference too. The ones with side bracing are least likely to wrap...

When I first started to throw braid I used spider wire then when I switched to p pro a long time ago I learned that there was a big diff in lines. I throw only p pro now.

For me, the lighter braids seem to wrap more. 50lb and up don't seem to be a problem.
