DFG Jamboree?

Post by bassbasset »

Question for those T.D.'s and Presidents out there. Have you been contacted about the Jamboree yet? I know its this friday and i know where it is, but i havent gotten a confirmation from Jay at DFG yet (i know he's busy). If he doesnt contact me should i just drive out to Sac and hope to get the dates we would like? This is my first time doin this for the club and i'm not sure what to do.

Thanks,
D.J.

Last year I learned the hard way. Make sure to send them an e-mail as early as you can tomorrow with your proposed dates. The deadline I thought was yesterday. But you never know. Hell they came up with new guidelines just this year just for me! :D :D

Anyway, after they receive them, they will add them to the board, and then the game begins. Then show up and plead your case! Good Luck!

Our club's flyer says the SoCal Jamboree is next Friday, July 15, at 10:00.
It says the mail-in applications or FAX's must be received by DFG no later that Tuesday, July 12.
Here's the phone number that DFG lists on the flyer:
(562) 342-7150
Give them a call today just to be sure.

D.J.,

Due to size, time constrants, and other factors, the jamboree's are broken up into two regions - the Northern Jamboree which is held on July 8th will cover CA lakes from the Grapevine North. Deadline to submit for that draw was indeed yesterday, July 6th. From today forward, any Northern Permits would have to be drawn after the Northern Jamboree has completed.

The Southern Jamboree will be held on July 15th and willl cover the SO Cal lakes. You will need to submit you dates to DFG for the Southern Jamboree to them no later than July 13th.

You were not sent a letter from DFG as you did not attend previous Jamborees, hence they would have had no idea to send an invitation to you.

Give me a call at (760) 304-4411 and I will walk you through the process and give you the details.

I don't believe any org will post their schedule until they have their signed/approved permits in hand. Until that happens, they essentially have nothing more than a pending application.
