Paradise point launch ramp
Paradise point launch ramp
Hi,
Thinking about going out of paradise point marina on Saturday and haven't launched there before. Wanted to ask if they have a drop off box for the launch fee (planing on heading out early), how the parking is etc.
Any kind of information would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Last time I was there they still had to launch pay box, I think that it is still ten bucks but you may want to take a few singles also. Put the tear off in your wind shield.
You can park along the road on the levee but there will be quite a bit of traffic on the weekend and it makes it hard to turn around. Park down by the marine shop parking lot on the east side of the road.
Go right from ramp toward whites and throw top water early all along that rip rap bank, I have had some killer popper and spook bites there this time of year.
Good luck

When I fish the Delta I launch there every time, it is a good place to start. Yes the rip rap wall is good all year long. On the weekends and holidays the launch fee is $15.00

Paradise Point Has SECURITY!!.......
While Paradise Point has some good things going for it, security, in my book, is one of the most important. They have a guard in a vehicle on duty thru-out the dark hours positioned where he can see the ramp and parking areas.
FEES: Last time I was there ( three weeks ago) the weekday launch fee was 12 or 13 dollars (my partner took care of that).
LAUNCHING: The ramp is fairly steep, so launching at low tide may require extra care, 4 wheel drive or both! There are, on occasion, windblown weeds in the marina launch area. I have only experienced this on an early morning high tide.

Re: Paradise Point launch ramp
The launch ramp is steep and there is a box available to pay for the launch. You pay more on the weekends than you do during the week. The parking lot across the street is fairly large and a bit dusty, make sure you have someone available at your Boat once you launch it and you go to park your Truck. They have two Toilets available (Men/Women) and the Store opens around 8 AM. When you launch your Boat come back out the same way you go in because if you go to the left of the launch you will scrape the bottom of your Trailer. Watch out when you are coming in to go home if the Nutcase Water Skiers are present. They are rude and don't care who is coming in or going out, all they know is they want their right of passage and damn the rest. They usually start coming out around 10:30 AM and it seems to be a steady flow up to 4 PM, the Heat doesn't seem to be a deterrent, so be aware!
Life is short enjoy each and everyday!

I have a 18' champ and pull it with a1996 4 runner 4x2 and never had any problem coming out. Once you start pulling out, don't stop and pull out toward toward the store. If you go out toward the left with your boat on the trailer you'll hang up.

Thanks everybody. Made it and are back in one piece. I really appreciated all the replies and they helped me feel comftable at a new launch ramp. Stayed on the store side going in and coming out and had no problem what so ever.

Were you in the Nitro Z8? I was in the Triton. We passed a Z8 a couple times around the launch ramp and then on the way home. It was slow for us with only 4 fish caught. Did get a 9 lber punching as the tide was peaking.

Hi NoCal,
Yes that was me. It was slow for me too. Picked up a couple in 14 mile slough on a jig and missed a good one on the frog just before high tide.
Let me know when you want to show me that spot where you caught the 9lbr

I didn't go too far from where you were. Just kept punching mats. This ole girl might have been over 10 when she was spawning. Look at the head compared to the rest of the body!

Re: Paradise point launch ramp
Nice fish. Go and catch her again in February and she will be easy a dd.
