A Little Clarification

Post by Bill Cook »

I have been called a couple of times about what is going on and what my future is with AC. I let AC know 2 weeks ago that I was retiring from team tournaments. After 200 events, I have lost my passion for them and wanted to spend less weekends away from home. I know that whoever takes over the Central Coast Pro-Teams for AC will do a great job and will inherit a fantastic group of fishermen. I have truly enjoyed being your TD for the last 11 years.

I informed AC today that I have resigned as the Pro-Am tournament director. I have had a great time working with a great group of fishermen over the last 2 years. I enjoyed working with Hutch and know he will do a great job next season.

Has it been that many years, Bill? That's a long time to do anything. Well then, now we can have you run the Lake Elsinore, Interplanetary, Mega-Team, Shared Tackle, Pro-Am Series. The way the lake's been fishing here lately, I promise extremely fast weigh-ins and a high live release percentage--since there is almost no handling of any fish.

Bill,
hey there from Texas. Sorry for the fisherman that you are no longer involved. I appreciate the fact that in the few pro am's I fished that you ran, you got em in got em out in the meeting, weigh in, and were always open to suggestions. I think Hutch probably learned alot from you.

On my front, back in the wall street biz, living in Frisco Texas and looking forward to things getting back to normal and fishing a Team Circuit next year. If you get out this way call me. Would enjoy taking you out on Lewisville or even Fork for that matter. I am thinking about buying a little place on Fork for weekend trips. Take care man. You ran a great Pro AM.

Smitty,

Ernie Stumpf here from Las Vegas (Henderson), NV.

On the subject of Bill Cook, I was way impressed with his work at the US Open. Dude ran a smooth event, everything was on time and quick (especially in the heat).

Regarding Frisco, TX, I'll probably be relocating there in the near future. My in-laws live there up off Preston and El Dorado in some killer new home. My wife and kids are relocated and living in Carrollton off of Hebron already. I just have to figure out how to get the transfer from 3M and get to TX.

I have fished Fork already, with not much success. Even spent a couple days on the water with Rick Loomis, launching out of the Minnow Bucket. That dude is a witch with a spoon in the winter time. I look forward to spending some quality time getting to know Lewisville soon.

Maybe we'll see you on the water. Let me know what good team orgs are out there. Send me a PM if you have a free minute.

Regards,

Bad news for our anglers. Thanks for the 11 years and your commitment to the sport. Hopefully you get more fishing time and even fish some events :D Hope to still see you around!!
