I have known Brian Linehan and Ray Leyerly for many many years. The comment made by Brian towards Ray in response to my posting about the www.meganslaw.ca.gov site was a joke among friends and not a personal slam on Ray. It was not meant to attack his character at all. Brian has received many PM's and emails from people giving him a hard time about the comment and I have to say I am shocked that the posting's had been removed.
I put out that posting for the benefit of everyone in our fishing community as a remote form of "Neighborhood watch" if you will.
It was a positive posting and a very important one at that. I don’t see the need to have it removed from this site. I made no mention of names nor did I make any indication of whom I was talking about. The people who were members of the SOCB club know who I was referring to and again, those who responded made no mention of any names.
Censorship is censorship but come on. I have read comments that have been made from some very well know and respected people that were pretty wild comments and yet they were not taken so seriously. I guess what I am trying to say here is that no matter where we draw the line in the sand, we have to ALL adhere to the rules of this site.
Personally, I think it was funny as hell and so did Ray.
P.S. Lighten up Patch!

That website is crazy. There are a ton of freaks all around me. Scary thing is that you would never know it.

I checked that out too.
I was writing some code for Sacramento County Sheriff and they wanted me to do something like that for them.
However, at the time it was illegal to give exact street addresses and identities of the offenders! Good to see the laws have changed! I definitely want to know who all these freaks up here in Lake County are!
Another funny thing... I did my old Orange County Street address and there were more around me in Orange County than there are up here in Lake County near me... I guess just raw numbers of people would make sense out of that... but, still I would have imagined Lake County (With all the Jokes about it) would have had more than Orange County.. Who knew?
As far as Linehan and Ray.. didn't see that comment.. but, they are both great guys and I don't see either of them making a statement about the other in a serious negative way!

What's really scary is that when they move, if they don't reregister in their new neighborhood, no one know where they are. They may be violating their parols, but those people don't really care about minor stuff like that. We probably should be grateful for the ones that do register. As a parent, it does concern me deeply.

I must have missed the thread entirely as I have no idea what's being talked about but we do have other forum monitors.
