you can jump stuff as long as you do not leave the boat to advance it in any way.
You can leave your boat if you are leaving an area as long as you are not trying to get into a spot.

still in the works but a small flat bottom or aluminum boat and mount a winch on it set up cables during prefish and drag the boat into virgin backwaters would be easy $ would problie pay for your investment in the 1st tourney.

Not sure about a winch, or how you'd manage one, but they use push poles all the time for that scenario. As long as you don't leave the boat, you're golden.

Had the pleasure of doing so with one of the Havasu sticks at last year's WON, and got treated to seeing some of the backwater wonderlands out there.

Uh, not exactly... they're great for getting over beaver dams that are completely blocking a lane, as I've seen that one first hand.

Not in my event....

Ryan,

Your question is a good one as it really pushes the envelope of what is and is not legal. This is one of the reasons that most organizations have to place generalized "sportsmanship" caveats and such in thier rules. It is impossible for a set of tournament rules to cover every possible scenario which may occur.

Personally, although it is not specifically stated in our rules, I would not allow this to occur in any WON BASS event. Our rules also do not state that one could not hire a helicopter to "airlift" a boat with its occupants in it to an area inaccessable to normal craft, but this too would be what I would consider beyond the rules of good jugement and sportsmanship.

When all else fails, there is rule # 36 - my personal favorite "Alll decisions of the tournament director shall be final"

Let me know if you have any further questions
