Shore pounding at the Pudd
Shore pounding at the Pudd
My friends and I hit-up the Pudd on Friday for a good part of the day. Started off on the West side near the Dam on the "finger". We gave it about an hour and a half and only produced 1 small Ika fish. Moved to the east shore and found that it was loaded down with bait fisherman so we decided to hit the boat launch area. It turned out to be a good move. I got 1 right off the bat on a Scrounger head. My buddy makes a cast pretty close to where I was and sticks a 3.14 on an Ito. Then the Lifeguard/Shoreguard tells us we are in a "No Fishing Zone", go figure. We have to move away from the docks. So we make the move, get to the new spot and on my 3rd or 4th cast, hit about a 2lber, again on the scrounger. My other buddy sticks one about the same size on a LC Pointer. We wind up staying in that same area and I managed to get 4 more on the scrounger. All in all, it was a decent day from the shore. Here are a couple of fish that were chewing the Scrounger head:
