Salute to our Troops Tournament questions.

Hello Everyone! And Happy Valentines Day!! I do not know if any of you know about my involvement with organizing Charity Tournaments but here it goes...
Right now I am assisting in the organization of the first Lake Tyler St. Jude Team Fishing Tournament to be held on April 29th and 30th in Tyler, TX. It is a 70 team event. In conjunction with the tournament we are having a manufacturer's & military fish off. What does this mean??? Well, we will have Pro Anglers representing every boat manufacturer that wants to participate AND the pro's coanglers will be soldiers that have returned from duty! I am needing a soldier representing every branch of the military. If you know anyone that might be interested please have them contact me!

How will we raise money? The St. Jude will help pros and military guys or gals contact different businesses, friends, family or whoever and ask for a Pledge-per-Pound. Example: If a company would like to pledge money for the Triton-Air Force team (say $10.00/pound), and that team weighs in a total of 10 pounds then that $100.00 will go directly to St. Jude.

Once I got into planning this event, I was contact by some Air Force guys wishing me good luck! I have ALWAYS had the highest level of respect for all branches of the military and soldiers. They put their life on the line just to make our lives better! That being said.....I would like to organize a tournament with proceeds going to help military families. This would be open to any and all, but I would like to see companies sponsor soldiers and pay their traveling expenses to and from the tournament so they can be a part of this event. After all, it would be for them and in their honor!! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Alright Guys,

Let's see what we can do to help Janet out she has been kind enough to beautify our forum.

I can't make it but I got $50 to start the fund help to send some personnel from the Military stationed or living in California.

I sure wish I could fish the event but we are floating off the coast of some not so friendly people at the moment.

The marketing company that has agreed to help me do this is setting up an account for funds/donations to be sent. And in case any of you are concerned 100% of these donations will go to our military guys and gals!

I will let you know as soon as the account is established.
