Top Stick TOC's and KOA

Post by DL »

I just spoke to the KOA corporate offices and you do not have to have a membership to camp at a KOA Kampground. They do have a rewards program, but you do not have to be a member to stay there. The card does give you 10% off, but it is optional and is $24 for the year..

KOA has 9 cabins with electric hook ups. Better hurry they are going fast! They have 1 and 2 room cabins. A one room is $57 a night and the 2 room goes for $66 a night. I am not sure 2 rigs would fit in each spot. When i asked the guy he thought it might be tight with just the one rig. Alot better than driving 20 minutes or so to a Hotel were I priced was $107 a night at Bestwestern.

No problem, hopefully most of the guys can get a cabin so we can have a good time and drink a few at night. maybe even get a big BBQ going if every one wants. Make this a fun time not just about competitive fishing. But better hurry, they only HAD 9 cabins and I know 2 are already taken. :wink:

My folks have one but my mom just retired and it will most likely be at the river...the beach...Nebraska...Mammoth...June Lake...or somewhere between here and there for the next 3 months... If it is in town that weekend I can use it...

If I heard right it's Leyerly and Basham, Lacher and Burkehart, Jue and Sanchez, Karafelas and Doctor Proctor, Lee and Cho and last but certainly not least Barron and Barron. Payne and Cummings are supposed to be there as well.

There are nine KOA Kabins in all so that leaves 2........................best get on the phone.

Good luck to all of the Top Stick anglers at Maurgarita TOC's;

This was a fantastic first year for the Top Stick Joes. I also enjoyed watching the Top Stick Pros execute their strategies around the South Land. This year for me and my partner Vince was full of memorable times as we had the pleasure of meeting some very down to earth anglers. Thanks to JB, RayEl, DL and their entire staff for running a first rate program in which I definatly plan on being a part of both next season as a TSPro Co-angler and a TSJoe boater.

I will not be competing in the TSJoes TOC due to the recent schedule change but I will be wondering and watching for the results and missed good times that im sure will be had by all that attend. I think the beer companies should have a good weekend of sales for sure! Looking forward to next season!

So who in the heck is "Tigger Weeds" anyways? Can somebody please post a photo of her, I understand her land name is Charlene?

Good luck! Big Ed!

Too bad you can't make it Big Ed. It should be a fun event even though the date change did screw up for some guys. I will be fishing solo as the date change screwed my partner up too who has a wedding in Vegas he can't miss. Oh well maybe next year.

Tigger....You do not have to store your boat at Casitas....Clean and dry inspection...10 day quaranteen and your in with a foolproof locking system that allows you to prove you have been nowhere else or cut off and get re inspected when you come back with another 10 day quaranteen. Cachuma your in the same day regaurdless of being somewhere else unless the lake or waters are on the list ( say Mead for arguments sake )in which case I don't know what they do but you are not fishing the same day in the case. After the inspection they do a hot power wash and away ya go. It takes about 2 hours to get in without the tag system from Cachuma on your boat Vs. 10 days irragaurdless at Casitas
