Piru Water levels

Post by JeffJ »

With water levels dropping real fast at Piru. Where are the tourney's scheduled there next year going to go? They said they are dropping it to about 50% and a local told me to the silt line! It was pretty low on Sunday. I cant see a good size tourney being held there if they go lower.

if we get rain at all it will come up fast. Last year there was enough water in the spring for tournaments. Remeber they say EL NINO for this year.

Hey Jeff....Don't sweat it..Like Ron said ...besides I have seen some really really strange behaviour going on with the animals this year and I'm willing to bet another 7 months on my hands and knees in my yard that we are in for some serious weather this year. It is an official El Nino and you'll be sick of the newscasters in no time....Just like waxing my car always gets some action the last thing that the fire areas need is alot of rain....so there ya go instant milk chocolate water for your tournaments this spring.

I did an ABA night tourney there last week and I do know that lake pretty well, the water will drop down lake a small pond type lake but no matter what you will get fish sometimes a lot small dinks but ask Ron C, Jerry B, and Tony Cap, they get the kickers all the time, if all goes like each year go up in a couple months after the real low water drop and mark some structure for the spring, so when the fun bass Fed goes down you will have a blast no matter what.
