Gonna answer my own question...YES, there is a topwater bite at Casitas!Image
Caught this with the Perfect Frog and two others on buzzbait. Very cool. 50 pound braid and pulled up a bunch of slop and and he was under there. May go punchin' next outing. ALOT OF GRASS all over the lake

I was going to post but I didn't think you'd like my answer much...Only way to get a top water bite going is to get a topwater bite going. You put in your time and now your fishing your fish. Much better than having someone tell ya what's working for them. I just didn't feel that the few fish are really worth it as I can out fish the reaction fish with plastics ....still!

I guess if I advertised I'd have more business Huh Ralph? . I have had three charters in 7 weeks.... I had a guy from Thailand and a co worker out on Saturday. Total rookies.. . I showed the Thai guy how a spinning reel works and taught him how to cast and then we went fishing... ... He caught an honest to god Limit but had to wear all the clothing in the boat because he was freezing  Yup 75 is about as low as it get's where he's from it's usually 100-120 with 100% humidity  >>> I think I might be going to Thailand in the next few months....I think I might catch fire if I get that hot  . We caught small fish but that's what I was looking for plenty of bites for the newbie's....some tight senko fish and crank fish at first light but once the fog burned off and we got a little wind we caught fish regular like on main lake points in 15' or deeper. You'd think at $200 for 8 hours I would be busy but the words just getting out and I have plenty of time to fish more myself in the up coming weeks. I turned down one job just because I couldn't fit 4 people ,,,,I turned him over to a buddy of mine who will take them out on Cachuma. Thanx for the report Ralph you da man!
