Looking for a place

Post by Schneider Fishing »

To go and get my head back together. Some place I can take my boat and go fishing for a couple of days, maybe a cabin, some place where there are trees and I can have a campfire but also drive or walk to a local joint and eat dinner. Can't be too expensive either. Ideas, connections????

Shasta or Oroville..There are campgrounds at both..Of course there is also Trinity, just a little farther to drive to get something to eat..

Clear Lake or Shasta. You're looking to get away. There's no better places then either of these two lakes to launch your boat and do some solo fishing. Reunite with your boat. Let your hair down. There's something about these two lakes and their 'spiritual' connections. I don't know, maybe it's the ancient tribes or just the magnificence of the mountains, but when you connect with these two lakes they tend to 'call to you' forever after.

I don't know maybe it's just me.

PS - Both have some great options for motels, cabins, and camping and both have good eats nearby.

I agree with Ron.If you google Central Coast Cabins, You will see the cabins they have at Cachuma. Actually mobile homes to look like cabins. They have a bathroom, shower and bedroom. My wife and stayed in one. They were comfortable and clean.
