U Ever loose a spook rod ? line break mid cast

iv lost 4 now. the line breaks mid cast and the rod flops in the water right at the boat. twice i was shallow enough to snag it so almost 6 rods and reels. yesterday i dropped to the deck to tri and get it, gashed my chest on the t motor mount and still a $400 setup sank into woods creek. damit ! strap or float im not loosing another one.

I have lost four. Three taken by fish when I set my rod down with line still in the water. The other was hooked on a cast by someone in my boat...Wonder who that was?
