I took my trolling motor to BPS today after calling them up this morning and telling them my problem the nice girl tells me no problem to bring it back and they will exchange it for me. I told her I was only bringing the motor that I did not want to take my gator mount off the boat she says no problem. So I show up and she is at the customer service counter and tells me to go back to the trolling motors and tell the associeate to get me a motor and take the mount off it. So I go back and the guy "MARK" tells me he needs the sku number so I give him my reciept and he walk to the front then comes back and tells me its been 4 months and he dont care what customer service says he is not going to exchange it that I could send it in for warranty service. I explained to him I did not want to wait weeks for a 4 month old motor to have a cable installed.
Well this @#$% tells me tough! So I told him I wanted to speak to his manager as I am telling him he gets in my face and contines to repeat he wont do it at this point I am pissed and tell him get me the manager so we are going back and forth for a min. Im halloring now get me the manager I dont want to deal with you! Everyone in the store is staring at us Then this guy in front of 3 customers CALLS me a D!@K !!!!!! I was shocked and in Aww!!! Then I thought Lay this dude out but I controlled my red neck urges and I look to the 2 guys and lady to the right of us and said can you believe he just called me a ____ ? They were just as shock as I was LOL I told him I dont know where you got your customer service skills but you need to read up on em I help pay your paycheck I am the consumer you dont call me a ____ he takes off towards the front of the store to the customer service desk and I follow .
So now the manager Jerry comes out I explain my situation he speaks to the girl that told me to come in and says he is sorry but he has to get it cleared by his manager so I say ok , he comes back and says for all your trouble we will refund the motor for you I told him I did not want a refund I just wanted my motor fixed or replaced asap. he tells me he can send it out but it will take some time. I say forget it and call Gene from my cell at BPS and he says to bring it in and he will fix it .
Jerry is a real nice guy and I understand policy and I told him I was not trying to get over on BPS the motor has been in use
for alittle over a month and it should not be broke. He said he understood but policies are policies and he said he would handle "MARK" guess two of the customers went to the front and also told them what happen
Sorry so long but just thought I would share the episode what a day lol. I have never been called a name by a sales associeate, at least not to my face LOL Thanks to Gene will be back on the water
