We can hope for massive purging in 2012, if not we are so screwed. IF your desire is for the fed. gov. to take care of you, He has done a lot to push us down that road.
On the other hand. If you would like to control your own money and how it is spent, He has done nothing for you.

There is a tipping point, where there are more takers than workers. We may be at that point.

My plan. Reduce the amount of work produced to a level that allows me to live well, while giving the gov. as little as possible to spread the wealth. If those people want more , let them work more. The stress of running a bus. and the hrs. that go with it are not worth the return.
