I'm all for the right to bear arms, so don't go accusing me of being a liberal or something...that being said, why is this post on a fishing forum? How about at least in the hunting forum, and if not, how about the mods. create a guns forum? I go here to read about fishing...

This post does not offend me and I believe goes with the fishing forum. The reason it is up here on the fishing forum is because one man is standing up and letting everyone know! Don’t worry by Monday Morning the Mod’s will move it but by then just maybe it will have a couple hundred more hits. And just maybe a few more anglers will realize the right to bear arms is interwove with their right to go fishing. Once they get the guns then they will go after fishing – wait they are already doing that!

AND all the following was in the video, sounds like Terry quit watching a little early...

First part: the warning from the Brits was that they thought not fighting the taking of pistols would be ok, not everyone had one.

Second part: then they criminalized the fox hunts (similar to banning duck hunting here, or the like), and the people started to see a pattern, and are now taking to the streets.

Third part: Then it talked about some poor farmer that got life in prison for shooting some scumbags that broke into his house (for the third time in less than a year by the way), killing one (a 16 year old with over 20 convictions already) and another guy, about 30, with over 30 convictions already (who is now suing the farmer with taxpayers money! - Sound familar?).

Homes, business and farm breakins are routine there now, many reported, as nobody has guns anymore, the police are impotent, and they have a 30-40% rise in crime per year.

If the same happens here, in no time YOUR fishing gear would all be stolen, but you could buy it back cheap on eBay no doubt! (Like the tweaker that stole my four strok motor two years ago, had he come into my home to do it there would have been a different ending to that story).

But by then they will criminalize fishing anyways!

Terry, you should have watched the whole thing, you'd see it's quite pertinent to fishing, in the long run (as the Brits said, don't 'not worry' just because it does not seem to affect you personally- it will in the long run).

I have been around for a long time, I have witnessed the accelerated changing of this country first hand. Grew up hunting and fishing in No. CA, in the early sixties we routinely walked around with sidearms during hunting seasons, (small towns north of sac) and never gave it a thought. I can imagine what would happen if you did that now, no doubt end up arrested and lose your gun.

This video should be a huge wake up call for the people across the pond and also for us, we are very close to ending up with the same situation here.

They are slowly taking away as many of our freedoms as they can and are doing less and less. Thanks guys! If i was as bad at my job as our government was at theirs I would be FIRED! lol Miss my deadline.. FIRED! sorry done ranting but the last thing their gonna take from me is my right to bear arms.. and if they take that right they sure in the heck arent gonna take my firearm!

You guys should join the NRA or CRPA. There the ones on the front line battling the Govt for our rights.
