With less than a month to go we have only received a few pre signs for this tournament. I have been working hard on getting donations for the raffle prizes. My question to you guys is are you or anyone planning on fishing this event and just waiting until the last minute if so let me know as it helps me plan out everything. If by mid October we do not have at least 20 pre signs I might have to think about cancelling this fun event. It takes a lot time to prepare for this and all I would like is a head count. We usually get 40-45 boats. Like I said if you plan on fishing this event please be courteous and let me know in advance.
Thanks and hope to hear from all of you.

I am unable to set a link up on this site I have tried several times with the staff on this forum. All of the details are in the tournament section on the forum. It is for all law enforcement, firefighters, military, active or retired. At least 1 person in the boat has to be or have been. Anyone who has been in the emergencey field qualifies. I have done this the last 6 years and have never had a problem this year for some reason it has been a struggle to get the word out. So if you know people spread the word please.

This is a great tournament and it is a fund raiser for the Alameda County Sheriffs Dept.
50% of the proceeds go to their sports association and 50 % is paid back.

Im sure you will get the boats. I am denied the time off for that day, BUT, I am sure there will be someone there at the tournament that can vouch for me how sick I was and shouldn't be working the streets... Right?

Re: Alameda County Sheriff's Tournament
This is a fun tournament and it is for a great cause. Hopefully more people will be signing up so that they get the numbers needed to pull this off. My buddy and I have had a ball fishing this event for the last couple of years.
They listened to input from the anglers and now made it a seven hour event. They supported that (us), we should support them!
