Which of these two would you pick?

Post by NG »

Plan on getting a used tow vehicle. Trying to decide between a 06/07 Sequoia or 07/08 Tahoe, which one out of these two, would you choose? This car will tow a 20' Ranger boat and my wife will also use for the kid's soccer team events. Looking for a reliable tow vehicle, as my current one has left me on the side of the road too often. Can't afford new, so looking for used in 20-25K range. I am towing from Sacramento to the delta or clear lake most of the time. Thanks for your suggestions.

Love my Tahoe... I'm sure you'd love it too. Great towing vehicle, and great cruiser for those other circumstances. Also not a bad camping platform for those times you need to crash in the rear.

Why buy Used for 20 - 25k, When.....................

I bought my 2010 Ram 1500 loaded for 20K Brand new. Watch the dealerships for adds especially this time of year as they blow out the 2010 models for the new 2011 models.

By the way, I am biased towards Dodge the Hemi motor just goes forever. I might add mine has the multi port 4 -6- 8 and gets 20 mph ave.

I would go with the Sequia the 08 chevys have the old transmission witch are not realible.I had a freind brought a used 08 tahoe and I told him you will lose that transmissoin and sure enough he did.Thats the reason why I dumped my chevy transmission problems.Go with Toyota you will not be sorry.

My Tahoe serves the same purposes that you seek. My girlfriend hauls around kids and it pulls all of our towables without effort. I prefer my Ford F150 for better mileage but it doesn't tow my 20 footer quite as nicely as my Tahoe. Toyotas have a great track record but you don't see too many Seqiouas. I'd do some homework on it. My 05 Tahoe runs like a champ at a 110k but it does need minor maintenance. I'm not too pleased with the gas mileage either but then again, I live 2 minutes from the delta

I own a Nissan Armada and wouldn't change her for anything!

My choice would be the Toyota, you will not be sorry.

I tow my 520 with a Seqouia. I fish all over NoCal too, havent had a problem. Just wished I had a little more power at times. Also, the 4x4 has gotten me outta trouble a few times when I needed it. My 2¢. Goodluck!
