A friend into flying sent this to me, it has the real time recording of the event in the background.

NOTE: The guys in the tower refused to even think he would try to make a river landing, note he never acknowledges it. :shock: :shock: :shock:

This pilot was a real hero. It's said a lot of the guys don't really remember how to fly these jumbo
jets anymore, they have basicaly put everything on auto-pilot for so many years they don't 'have to'.

Kudos to this pilot, huh?

Yes, indeed: the pilot is a real hero and obviously a damned good pilot. These are the guys that save our lives. What a courage and what a pride. Hopefully there are guys out there that are so much down to the ground, that they can do it whatever comes.
