Tungsten punch Weights

Post by Takedown »

We are wanting to add tungsten punch weights to our tackle line.

Who makes the very best weights without inserts?

Picasso has taken back their fray free technology from Tru Tungsten and are back in stores now. Give them try. No inserts, no frays!

I've got a question about this idea of using tungsten weights for punching.
One of the purposes of the weight is to clear a hole in the cover so that the bait slides through, easily.

You'd need a pretty heavy tungsten weight for it to be big enough to punch a hole for a double-wide Beaver to get through the much.
Not trying to hijack the thread; just hoping to understand the thinking here.
Thanks,

Wolfeman..... Too some extent the weight is to create a hole for the bait to go through, but also the heaviness of the weight pulls the bait thru even the smallest of holes. Also if you add a scented spray/gel to the bait it often keeps it "lubed" and helps it slide thru the cover.
