Hello everyone-
We had our first event of the season last weekend at Castaic and paid out over $8400 for only 31 paid teams! First took home nearly $3K with second place winning $1,360 and third place $1,210! For those of you who missed the first event, you can easily qualify for the TOC at Havasu next October by fishing the remaining events. Remember, you will be fishing for a BOAT and Reserve money!
Per the lake Sheriff, the 500 ft rule will be enforced this year. Therefore, the dam will be completely off-limits all season as well as casting over buoy lines both at the dam and right next to the sheriff's dock inside the marina. The marina area is open. I just ask that you leave at least 100 feet or so around the physical launch ramp so boats can get in and out.
It sounds as if the lake is opening at 7am right now and I'll be there at 5:00 for sign-ups on Sunday, Nov 13.
For those of you who fish NBW, you already know that we offer the best paybacks. For those of you who haven't fished us before, check us out. We're a small, family run organization who puts the fishermen first everytime without the smoke and mirrors. Simple, straightforward, and the best payback everytime! NBW

Good call Brian. Looking forward to it . Lake is getting tough, typical early winter blues and a cold front on its way.

Brian-is this a rule for NBW or a lake rule keeping everyone away from the dam every day? If so, how far away from the dam?
Re: National Bass Pyramid PLEASE READ
Bri, what's the date of the event?

Hey Terry-
That rule is straight from the lake Sheriff. Unlike years past, they will be enforcing the 500 ft rule this year. Therefore, it made my decision pretty easy for both National Bass and Anglers Choice.
Anglers will have to stay a minimum 500 ft from the face of dam and the lake is talking about actually placing buoys around that mark so boaters will stay out. Like always, casting over the buoy lines at the dam as well as the buoy line in the marina near the Sheriff's dock is not permitted.
The next event is Sunday, November 13 and I think we are going to have a strong field. Quite a few anglers who weren't at Castaic last week will be at Pyramid and we had 34 teams at Castaic.
Looking forward to Pyramid and hope to see you there!
