NBW at Pyramid on Sun November 13.
Hello everyone-
Just a reminder that National Bass will be at Lake Pyramid this coming Sunday. The bite is reportedly pretty darn good right now and even with the forecasted rain, I think the fishing is going to be good.
As a reminder, the 500 ft rule (dam) will be enforced this year per the lake sheriff. Therefore, the dam will be completely off-limits all season as well as casting over buoy lines both at the dam and right next to the sheriff's dock inside the marina. The marina area is open. I just ask that you leave at least 100 feet or so around the physical launch ramp so boats can get in and out.
It sounds as if the lake is opening at 7am right now and I'll be there at 5:15 for sign-ups. I imagine that the lake will open the gate for us around 6:00. Safe light is around 6:30.
For those of you who fish NBW, you already know about our paybacks. For those of you who haven't fished us before, come check us out. We paid out $8,400 for 31 paid teams at Castaic last month and expect an even larger purse at Pyramid. If you have any questions, please give me a call.

Hey Brian, 500 feet is a lot, do you know if Posey Cove (the one by the dam and below the freeway) will be off limits this season? Not sure if Posey if more than 500 feet from the dam...
Re: NBW at Pyramid on Sun November 13.
I would think the imaginary line from the last point past Posey before the dam to the farthest outside point of the bouy line should be just fine. But what do I know ..........

Hey Ron,
I agree. What do the signs say on the dam? That's what the sheriff will enforce.
Thanks,
Brian

Hey , the fish don't care their already wet but I don't mind fishing in the rain as long as it's not 40 degrees and windy but that's what it just might be till maybe 12 pm pretty freakin miserable by my standards! I'm not 25 anymore and I don't like the feeling of being wrapped like a mummy in an icy coffin while I'm breathing heavy from casting but at least I won't have to add any action to my worms ,they will be shakin on their own if you get my drift!. With Pyramid online for the next 3 events I might have to purchase a heated space suit with windshield wipers so I can see where I'm casting ! In order to get my buddy to fish with me I'd have to tempt him with boat accessories that I can't mention here but I'm sure all FisherMEN would enjoy them as a pleasant distraction. Good Luck to all even if I don't see ya there!!!

Its been so long since I payed any attention to it I really dont know for sure. Probably 500 feet. That puts the imaginary line from about the right hand poing entering posey. Or say screw it , fish at your own risk. Get a ticket , get DQ'ed.

Just remember a ticket on the lake is a moving violation, and goes against your DMV driving record.

I confirmed that it's 500 feet. Therefore, draw an imaginary line from the last point past Posey before the dam to the farthest outside point of the bouy line. That's the way National Bass and Anglers Choice will enforce the off limits.
