Help with new bass club insurance

Post by VangBass1 »

The StrikeZone Bass Club is a new bass club forming out of Elk Grove/Sacramento and would like advice on how to properly buy club insurance. We haven’t had much success with the local brokers in Elk Grove and have extended our search via the internet. We contacted North American Tournament Association (NATA) today and they actually gave us a good quote in regards to next year’s 10 events. We would appreciate any advice and recommendation on what to look for and any potential person(s) to be in contact with. Any help/feedbacks would greatly be appreciated.

Thank You

If your club joins BASS or TBF, they offer insurance for the club and its officers. Also, i believe that there are some open events covered as well. This is part of the membership. Keep in mind, some lakes may need separate insurance coverage regardless of your club insurance. I have heard a few clubs regretting getting the Club insurance that ABA sells/promotes indirectly.

The Christian Bass Anglers Fellowship also went with the ABA Program. One of the challenges with most coverages is that in juries to members or participants in the event is excluded. But I am not aware of any other programs in this area. Let me know how it goes with your program.

First...thanks for ALL the help guys...

We have narrowed it down to North American Tournament Association (NATA). Per my conversation with one of the reps, he mentioned that they also insure FLW and US Angler’s Choice. Now, we’re unable to find any reviews about NATA. Our club wants to be safe and most importantly, have the coverage we need. Does anyone or clubs know about NATA or used their coverage. Please let me know as 2012 is approaching.

Thanks

I hope everything works out on your Club Insurance. I noted that StrikeZone Bass Club is going to have 10 events. You might want to add one additional event – the Club Classic on 15 Sept 2012 and come have fun with other Bass Clubs.
Sorry for the highjack!
