Won Bass Pro/Am 2012 Date change
Guys,
Just noticed the Am that is looking for a Pro for the North Won Bass Pro/Am's. He copied our dates, and I figured it was a good time as any to update you all on a scheduling change that had to be made in our North schedule. Our Delta date was set right on top of the "Fred Hall Fishing Show" in Long Beach. To avoid any conflicts with anglers whom might have to work booths, and for our marketing purposes at Western Outdoor News, it was necessary to make the adjustment.
2012 Won Bass Pro/Am Schedule
1/14/12 – 1/15/12 Shasta** – Bridgeport
2/11/12 – 2/12/12 Havasu** – Lake Havasu Marina
3/3/12 – 3/4/12 Delta*** – Russo’s - was 3/10/12 - 3/11/12
5/5/12 – 5/6/12 Roosevelt – Cholla Ramp
6/2/12 – 6/3/12 Clear Lake – Konocti Vista
9/29/12 – 9/30/12 – Mead – Callville Bay
10/27/12 – 10/28/12 Clear Lake – Western Classic
9/10/12 – 9/12/12 US Open – Lake Mead – Callville

Re: Won Bass Pro/Am 2012 Date change
thats too bad I was going to fish all three and now I don't know if I should fish any because the new date. I already have obligations for the new date. I was hoping to fish all three and qualify for the classic. Now there is no way for me to fish the Delta. I sure wish you would reconsider your date change.
Re: Won Bass Pro/Am 2012 Date change
Very, very disappointed. I have other commitments and will miss the Delta event with the new dates. Best of luck to all other competitors. I really wanted to support WON BASS this year and compete for a spot in the Classic. Reevaluating my entire schedule now.

Billy,
I feel the same way as the other guys. I had already made my vacation requests at work and now I can't change them. I really wanted to fish Won this year but I guess I will have to fish AC. I hear you run a good tourney, maybe next season for me.

I would rather jog home from my own Vasectomy than spend Saturday at the mall.

Re: Won Bass Pro/Am 2012 Date change
I see that you might change the day back to the original. That would be great. There is already four of us on here that were going to fish on the original date and can't on the new date. Ther is also a few more that I know of that haven't come on here in the same situation. Just letting you know that there are alot of us that are wanting to fish your tournament.
Re: Won Bass Pro/Am 2012 Date change
The Delta at Russo’s on 3 and 4 March is at the same time a the Hook Tournament TOC! It would be better to move back to 10 and 11 March. That way I can do both!

Re: Won Bass Pro/Am 2012 Date change
Guys,
"DONE"
The date has officially been changed back to the original date of March 10th and 11th on the Delta running out of Russo's. Scheduling the year and all the events around all the other circuits, let alone all the industry events can be quit cumbersome. I want to thank Gene at the Hook Line & Sinker for working with us to resolve our original issue, and again for working with us to un-resolve our date issue. Working together is always a better solution. Thanks again for voicing your opinions. Now get signed up and committed to the tournaments so we can put on another spectacular Won Bass Pro/Am season.

Thanks Marty....
We had to deal with that at the TOC when the time changed on us there as well.

Billy,
Thank you for doing this. Now I can get my entry in for Shasta. As an added bonus with the Delta event being on the same tides as the FLW you might get a few people "prefishing" for the FLW in the field as well.

Billy, Thanks for listening and going with the original date. For a minute there I thought I was going to have time on my hands and have to work the Long Beach show.
Looking forward to an amazing season!

Re: Won Bass Pro/Am 2012 Date change
Bob,
There were a few reason as to why the information way delivered as such. The system was never designed from the start to do what we are now doing with it. I have some background in data base systems development, and worked with the software provider that redesigned our system, and upgraded it to print at least the Pro cards, so that we could do our pairings faster and more efficiently. As you are aware, Won Bass is very retro active as far as listening to our anglers, and working on ways to improve our process. I hope to have the ability to print both Pro and AAA cards for next seasons events, as it only helps you the anglers and me and my staff, by receiving less phone calls. No other reasons than that!
