Re: Drop shotting with electronics video HD
It was a very informative video, I appreciated it, thanks! However...
HDS10 is a bit out of reach for many including myself, especially so with 2 of them on the boat! It'd be equally awesome to have a video with the more affordable units such as the Elite or the Humminbird 788, 597, etc..., no side or structure scans, just 2D sonar.
Now, I absolutely understand the same concepts would apply regardless of the type of electronics but I would like to see how effective they can be in comparison.
Quite honestly, I have never been in a situation where my Humminbird 788 and 597 provided me with such success. I always find myself using them primarily for navigation, structure, and depth, and I'd like to learn how to reliably see and catch fish like you did, especially in the delta.
Note I'm not starting a war against one product over another, just curious as to how effective the entry level products are compared to the top of line ones that cost many times over.
