You're right about having the best paybacks.
At $300 all in with 6 anglers you at most collected $1,800 and paid out $2,045, or about 115%

The weather was great up there for the tournament. From what I've learned when its howling santa anna winds, DVL stays relatively calm, dont know why, Tom the inspection dude swears it every time. Of course there was a breeze but it never white capped and was sunny, warm and beautiful all day. We only scratched 8lbs for 3 fish but thats because I lost our 2 good ones, we caught lots of sub 15" fish and if I had a clue what Im doing up there would have done better. I've been friends with John Wick for over 15 years and actually new him before he fished he's a stand up guy, I met Brian Hess a few months ago and the guy is great, always makes ya laugh. These two guys live for bass fishing, tournaments in particular, and in an industry where not all TD's fish derbies or all that much for that matter these two are on the water 4-7 days a week killing it. I'm not really sure what happened last year and to the following of the W.O.N. circuit up at DVL but I can personally attest that these 2 guys are on the right track. Besides the awesome payback they gave away a good $400 in swag: Trokar Hooks, Canyon Tubes, One Knocker Spooks, Hollow Belly swimbaits,etc. Oh, and did I mention, Al Linder was in the debie. Cool to fish against an industry icon. Give this circuit a chance and with some good turnouts these guys will make it worth your while. I'm off to the lake...

Also after we have to pay the lake 100.00 and 15 per team for the TOC to WON BASS and so on.

I wanted to be out there but unfortunately my trolling motor snapped the week prior. Hopefully will have it fixed by the next tourney, looking forward to fishing with WON this year.

If your buddy wasnt in the results posted above then he got 4th 5th, or 6th.
