MLF Pay Per View?

Post by Calmassey »

Did anybody throw down the $2.99 and watch the first episode yet? Just wondering if it was worth it.

I did and yes, it's worth it! I actually did the $18 deal as it's a better value. The episodes are about 2 hours long so there is some good value there. Also, it will be cut to about 45 mins per episode when it airs on tv so there's more incentive to view it via advance cast. It's an awesome show and I cant wait to see the next group whack em. The last portion of the show was intense. I love the fact that every keeper counts but the toads are whats gonna help you the most rather than numbers. I dont think there's one guy out there that coughed up the dough to watch that regreted it. Check it out if you're the least bit interested

I thought it was awesome. Very well filmed and produced. I will not spill the beans but the battle between a former Westcoaster and a current one at the end is great. Looking forward to the rest, and well worth the money. Lots of good info. Rick G.

I just watched the first half of the first episode, and it is really exciting.
This is a neat concept, and they picked the right people to fish it.
I can't wait to log back on this evening, and watch the rest.

Those Pros had a 15 minute fly by of the area of the lake they were allowed to fish, no casting and no other practice on that lake before that day. I think it took KVD about 2-3 minutes to catch a 3 plus. Very interesting to see how fast they disect a lake in such a short time. Thats why they make the big cheese. I dont think the crammed 42 minute show they will put on TV later will do that format justice though. It needs the long version to play out the drama and keep a camera on all the days anglers. I think you're right, Rick.
The way they did the first episode was really dramatic, and exciting.
It took the full two hours to show what everyone was doing, where and why, and to cover all the action.
I agree that an hour, or rather the true 42 minutes of actual coverage, will probably butcher it.

I'll be the first to throw a fly into the ointment. Really enjoyed the show and it was well worth the cost. Love the format. My only complaint was the several times they cut away from the on-water action to let the lady announcer (sorry, can't think of her name right now) recap the standings. It was redundant as we were kept informed of leaderboard changes as they happened. She is very easy to look at but, with apologies, I would rather watch the action. That said, I will be back. Looking forward to Skeets group.

I watched the first episode and didn't have to pay because bass zone handed out a few free promo codes for the first episode. I would still pay for it though and it is well worth the money. 2.99 an episode is nothing.

Anyways, it's awesome and a cool concept. I like how there's no limit and every fish counts 14 inches and up. Tons of leader board changes which makes it exciting. First episode goes down to the wire too and is better than any tournament coverage that I've seen. The recaps are annoying IMO though because I'd rather watch the fishing but you can skip over them in resume to fishing action in a split second.

Yeah, it was a great show, well worth $18 for the entire series, I can't wait for the next one.

The guy throwing the A-rig is nothing without it, nothing I tell you... alright, alright, I digress now...

haha. its funny the guy throwing the a-rig said he really had no clue what he was doing with it and ended up slaying fish on it. crazy how that thing still works in super clear water.

If you plan on plunking down 2 bucks? Don't forget Prefishing with Aaron Martens on Lake Murray for an hour and twelve minutes.

I am sure this had a role in banning the Arig. Dude had no business up there.

Remember that show was filmed in mid November and before the real A- Rig craze was rolling. Most of those Pro's had them long before Paul Elias put it on the map at the FLW event. Amistad was already a great swimbait lake before the A-rig. One of the nice things about the show is the little "go 10 seconds ahead" box they have and just like a DVR you can blow thru the commentary and commercials and just stick with the fishing. Rick G.

Is there a computer VOD or streaming for those of us that can't get WFN on our providers (Comcast)?

ACRon, the show is a streaming media. Once you registered (and paid), you can watch it at anytime via their site. I'd recommend buying all for $18 instead of individually.

All kidding aside this a very well put together show.I would buy the whole deal for the $18.00,well worth it.
I thought that the coverage was excellent. If the rest of them are as good as the first one this will be a big hit!
