About time for Dee

Well despite all the Ike news running rampant, I just read something that made me very happy. Dee Thomas is finaly getting his due and will be inducted into the Professional Bass Fishing Hall of Fame. Congradulations Dee, you have made the fishing world a better place. About 15 years ago I got to spend a day in the boat with Dee. After about 2 hours and a hundred questions, he turned to me, looked over his glasses and said "Son your making this a whole lot more complicated than it has to be"

I just got off the phone with Dee. He had not even received the news yet! He's very happy about it and sends his thanks to any and every person who helped to promote his cause. I know there's no monetary award with this accomplishment but there certainly IS a measure of personal satisfaction for him to receive this recognition. They made a deserving old man happy! BAHHHHHHH enough about the negatives. I want to see 20 replies to a positive post about one of our local legends.... Why does human nature dictate 3 threads with 15 replies about Ike and 4 responses to something like this which is the equivilant of a lifetime achievment award.

I am surprised he didn't know about it before you talked to him NACL. That had to be a good conversation.

Being a voting member of the PBFHOF I got the opportunity to vote for Dee and I couldn't be happier about the selection. This is the third HOF that Dee has been voted in to and he's very worthy of it.

Did you know Dee is also a member of a third fishing Hall of Fame based in San Francisco? That's quite a lot of well-deserved recognition for him.
