Folsom?

Post by Dave A »

I am thinking of heading out to Folsom this weekend and have not been on the water in months. What is the water level looking like and what is the launch situation at Granite Bay? Any word on what the bite has been like over the past week or two?

Any information would be appreciated.

Rumor has it from employees that work at the Lake that they are talking about taking it down to 5mph in the very near future. Perhaps the rains coming from Storm Watch 2012 will delay this speed restriction. I havent been out there in over a year.

Thanks Ash. I have not been out there since last may/June. I was concerned that they may be going in that direction. Anyone been out there recently?

Yesterday and last week. I would go to bullards if I was you. Unless your really on them, bite sucks. You can DS really slow on rock piles 30 to 40 feet with 3 to 4" pond smelt looking baits and try and stay awake or throw the rig in 0 to 15 feet and you might find a toad. It's not great for me out here. It's a late bite if any, I don't drop in till around noon.
