ONE WEEK TO GO - SIGN UP NOW!!! Spring NutCase Event

Post by Wolfeman »

EDIT: I've put together a sign-up form, and posted it at http://www.tunaman.org/web/Spring_Nutcase_Signup.htm
We're taking signups now for the Spring Nutcase, scheduled for Cinco de Mayo, so come and git ya some!

tuna

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since it is now officially spring it's time to start the thread.

Tunaman (currenty Top Nut) won the Winter NutCase at Berryesa, so he gets to choose the location for the Spring event.
Then we need to figure out a date that works for most of us.

Tunaman, tell 'em where it's going to be.

Why, it's gotta be on the DELTA of course!!! A lot of big fish coming out to play lately, so looks like the season is getting off to a great start.

I'm dealing with some issues right now, but figure that we can get one together maybe towards the end of next month? Start looking at dates towards the end of April or beginning of May and we'll get a good Spring Nutcase going.

The winter NutCase was during the FLW at Shasta and it will be the same for 28 April - FLW Clear Lake.

Then how about April 21st then instead? Count me in if so.

(I'll get my gallery to donate a $1,000 piece of art, by that Michael Seewald artist guy, of choice, to the winner too). 8)

Yeah, it sucked that you and Scott and several others weren't at the Winter one on Berryesa.

Give us a date that works ofr you Marty, just please don't pick May 12th or 19th gone to Maui). I missed the summer one last year and the Pro Teen because I was in Maui.
Thanks,

That is the only reason Roger the Tunaman got Top Nut because Scott was not there – LOL

I don’t want to step on the Wolfman’s Maui trip or Otay gift of art by doing it on 21 April (which is a club tournament for me).

But the only date that is open for me is 5 May, is that date open to everyone?

I'm good to go, I'll just change my Yosemite class to the weekend before. Gives me some pre-fishing time, can't beat that!
Wonder if the frog bite might be happn' by then?

I just got put into "Stand By" mode... started PT today... they want me to avoid any unnecessary strain on the elbow for at least 2 weeks... PT is for 6 wks, which puts the Nutcase smack right at the end of it... hopefully I make GREAT progress QUICKLY!!

But then again, isn't catching big ol' Delta bass NECESSARY?

No Problem Hub.
Just follow me around and I'll put you on a bunch of one pounders; won't stress that elbow at all.
But if you want to stress it with some big bass...follow someone else.

In all seriousness sounds like Cinco de Mayo might be the ticket... anyone have any conflicts with that date?

Like to nail it down for at least Michael so he can make plans accordingly, since he would like to plan his schedule to accommodate.

Not too many really responding to the date request, so if this works set it in stone!

I make a motion we run it like some of the older ones, three legs over two days instead of two over one day? Switch partners around 2 pm on day one (Saturday) after weigh in and lunch, and finish it on Sunday afternoon? Average the three weights if you make all three, and have three partners overall. If you can't make Saturday you can fish Sunday and still be in, as it's an average of legs weighed in. And Vice versa if you can't make Sunday. Anyone second the motion?

Who wants to be weigh-master, Gator is no where to be found? 8)

Michael, the two day events were the Western Rally and Nutcase classic events. Not just simple Nutcase events.

Sorry, but it's gotta happen on Saturday, as we will be partying late Cinco de Mayo and won't be in any shape to be up early on Sunday. Hopefully you can at least come join the evening's festivities Tom?

I might be able to. If I remember right the car show will be over at around 1 or 2 then we clean up and I would probably be off around 3 or 4. Maybe I can catch a fun fishin ride in the evening or a mid day trip the next day with someone.
